NSS Unit's 'Christmas Day Initiative'

On the occasion of Christmas, on 25th December, 2020, our Institute took the opportunity of distributing Covid-19 Relief Project Food ration packets to the poor and needy.  150 such kits containing rice, pulses and edibles were donated. This was done for residents of Parsodi, Rui and Gavsi villages, adopted by the Institute under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. India.

The event was conducted under the leadership of Fr. Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel (Director), representing the College Management were Dr. Surendra Gole (Principal) and Fr. Siju Jose (Financial Administrator), joining them in the execution were Gram Panchayat members of the villages, Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure (NSS Unit Program Officer) Prof. Anthony Augustine (Faculty Co-ordinator), staff and student volunteers.

The distribution project implemented by the Institute NSS Unit, was funded and supported by “Pallotti Bread”, Nagpur, an initiative of The Nagpur Pallottine Society that supports BPL and marginalized families without ration card, living on pavements and slums in and around Nagpur city.
