An Induction for First Year students, batch of 2020-21, was conducted on 14 May 2021. The induction ceremony was held to introduce students to The Ashwa Riders and Formula Ashwa Riders (FAR) teams under the Society of Automotive Engineers, SAE.

The Ashwa Riders are a team of auto enthusiasts; they design and fabricate single seater off-road vehicles. Formula Ashwa Riders (FAR) team have a journey from Go-kart to Formula team, initiated in 2012 and 2015 respectively and over the years have reached new heights.

The Induction program began with a brief introduction about them, their various events, timeline of work, growth and various Departments involved in the team. 

The event was conducted online, 141 students took active part in it, with team leaders interacting with them for an hour. The link of recruitment interviews for team membership was given to them too.

This program was coordinated by Dr. Kiran Khandarkar and Dr. Ashish Bodhaye, Co & Extra-curricular Coordinator.
