An Industry expert talk, “Automobile Life Cycle” was organized on Thursday 25th March 2021, by the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities for students and faculty members of all semesters of the Institute. The talk was delivered through online mode via webex platform.

The speaker, Mr. Tarun Deoghare, is lead engineer at Tata Technologies Jaguar Land Rover, United Kingdom. He gave in-depth knowledge on research, concept, design, testing and service, correlating an automobile’s life cycle to engineering. He presented real pictorial inputs on the structure, parts of various automobiles, its development, computer aided design and computational fluid dynamics.

Mr. Deoghare further explained the role of robotics in the field of manufacturing of automobiles and elaborated the use of robotics in assembling of the structure, its painting, installation, etc. He used his vast industrial experience and took participants on an online journey through the mass production and continuous flow of the assembly line.

Highlight of the session was the interactive question-answer session. The seminar kept participants riveted to their seats, as it opened up a whole new world of the automobile industry to them.

The session ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Sayali Kanhav, Coordinator of the webinar. She along with Co & Extra-curricular Coordinator, Dr. Ashish Bodhaye were instrumental in conducting this session.
