St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, undertook a Relief Project in the villages of Dhuti (Dongargaon) and Gavsi Manapur, adopted by them.

The project was implemented in the month of June by the SVPCET NSS Unit in collaboration with Pallotti Bread, a social initiative of Nagpur Pallottine Society.

In this Relief Project, 22 BPL families without ration cards were identified. These families were then contacted and provided with Food Ration packets consisting of food grains, pulses, spices and cooking oil. The Gram Panchayats acted as centers for distribution of ration as per social distancing norms.

The food ration packet distribution event was conducted on 26th June, 2021, in the presence of the Director, Fr. Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel, along with Principal Dr. Surendra Gole, Vice Principal, Prof R.B.Gowardhan and Fr. Siju Jose representing the College Management.

The activity was coordinated by the Gram Panchayats of the respective villages. The project was funded and supported by Pallotti Bread, an initiative which supports BPL and marginalized families without ration cards.

SVPCET NSS Unit Program officer, Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure, along with college non-teaching staff Mr. Nandu Vaidya and Mr.Sunil Waghmare took active part  actively engaged themselves in this project.
