AICTE sponsored One Week STTP inaugurated at Pallotti College

One week short term training program(STTP) on the topic “Renewable Energy Sources”, sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was inaugurated on 18th November,  2019 at the Electrical Engineering Department of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur. The Chief Guest of the program Dr. Mrs. Sadhana Rayalu, Chief Scientist, EMD division, NEERI, Nagpur emphasized the concern for environment with use of renewable energy technologies. She highlighted various research areas that are emerging in the field of Solar Energy and Environment(SEE). The Guest of honour Dr. Abhijeet Digalwar, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, Birla Institute of Technology & Sciences(BITS), Pilani enriched the participants with his experience in the field of sustainable development and renewable energy technologies. He motivated the faculty participants to contribute research towards reducing the cost of renewable energy harnessing methods and e-waste management. In all 40 participants from various engineering colleges of  Maharahstra and other  states like Chattisgarh, Gujarat and Goa registered for the course. The opening address was delivered by the Director Fr. Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel and head of the department, Dr. N. K. Dhote introduced the objectives behind conducting this STTP. The convenor Dr. Mrs. J. P. Rothe proposed the vote of thanks.  The program was coordinated by Dr. K. A. Kanhav and Prof. N. P. Mendhe.
