To commemorate the 144th birth anniversary of our ace leader and politician Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated as National Unity Day on 31^st October, 2020,  the NSS Unit of our College had organized a Unity Pledge taking event.

This day was set apart in 2014 by the Government of India to mark the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a major role in the integration of India (Ek Bharat), over 560 princely states. To acknowledge his efforts in uniting the nation, India celebrates National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on his birth anniversary.

Marking the event, a video featuring our 2^nd year student, Ms. Anjali Banerjee was circulated amongst college NSS volunteers and students. They took the Unity pledge and shared their selfie photos on social media such as WhatsApp.

The event received good response from NSS volunteers and students.  Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure, SVPCET NSS Program Officer coordinated the event along with NSS Departmental Faculty coordinators Mr. Anthony Augustine, Mr. Pramodkumar Borle, Mrs. Trivelli Naidu, Mr. Yogesh Lanjewar, Mr. Dipak Wajgi, Mrs. Neha Nagdeve, Dr. Hema Kale.
