Women's Entrepreneurship Day Commemoration

November 19th is a day spearheaded by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization to celebrate and support women in business worldwide.

Our College organized an online event, a video featuring the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) under NITI Aayog was circulated among college NSS volunteers and students.

Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP)is a first of its kind, a unified access portal which brings together women from different parts of India to build a nurturing ecosystem that enables them to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations. WEP achieves this by facilitating relevant information and services through key partnerships.

The Platform was first proposed by Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog who announced the WEP at the conclusion of the 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit(GES) in 2017, to help resolve the information asymmetry that exists in the ecosystem.

At the College Students were asked to promote Women’s Entrepreneurship Day through social media such as WhatsApp. The event received good response from NSS volunteers and students. The Event was coordinated by Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure, SVPCET NSS Program Officer along with NSS DepartmentFaculty coordinators Prof. Anthony Augustine, Prof. Pramodkumar Borle, Prof. Trivelli Naidu, Prof. Yogesh Lanjewar, Prof. Dipak Wajgi, Prof. Neha Nagdeve, and Dr. Hema Kale .
