Guest Lecture on Introduction to Vedic Ganit

The Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities conducted a guest lecture on Introduction to Vedic Ganit on 10th March 2021, from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm. The expert speaker, Shaifali Joshi, is associated with Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University and has to her credit a certificate course and diploma in Vedic Mathematics.

During her session Ms. Joshi highlighted the importance of Vedic Ganit, how numerical calculations can be quickly done using it and ways in which it can help an individual improve their mathematical and aptitude skills. Ms. Joshi spoke about the 16 sutras and how they are used to solve problems in arithmetic, geometry and algebra in a simple way.

113 students attended the seminar and understood the basic concepts of Vedic Mathematics. This seminar was an eye opener for a lot of students, wherein Vedic mathematics can be applied to solve things faster.

The event was hosted by Manasi Keshattiwar, a student of CE  2nd year, she also proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Prachi Pande and Co & Extra-curricular Coordinator, Dr. Ashish Bodhaye coordinated the session.
