Industrial Visit at MRSAC

The Department of Computer Engineering organized a one day industrial visit for their Second Year students under Holistic & III- Cell On 4th March 2020, at Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre (MRSAC), VNIT Campus, South Ambazari Road, Nagpur. Fifty nine students visited the Organization.

MRSAC, under the administrative control of its Planning Department utilizes space technology for managing and monitoring the natural resources of the State, as well as developments and changes in the urban society.

Dr. Ajay S. Deshpande, Associate Scientist, addressed students and introduced to them recent research trends in Geo-spatial and UAV/ LIDAR technology domain. He explained the Importance of Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System (GIS) Technologies and Work Ethics followed in the organization. Mr. Deshpande also discussed and showed their recent project which works on 3D Mapping of forts in Maharashtra, using an Integrated Geo-spatial technology Approach. During his interaction, he also highlighted the various possibilities of working with MRSAC where students can contribute in their upcoming projects using innovative techniques.

Students had an active interaction with the Scientist on the latest Technologies. Prof. S. M. Wanjari and Prof. R.C. Roychaudhary  accompanied students on this visit.
